Post Replacing ERC
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JTP95WW2WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have an oven/microwave whose controller went bad. I bought a replacement unit that comes with instructions provided with the controller unit and also a wiring harness that is optional for the JTP95 models that have both the 9 pin and 12pin block models. (That's what I have) When I received the replacement kit, the 4pin connector block that goes to the microwave to provide power to the motor, to the low voltage transormer through a 15A fuse, ground and power to the primary of the transormer running the magnetron etc......... is a male connector. Unfortunately the mating connector to the microwave is also a 4 pin male. How can I rectify this situation. I ordered and received the parts from Appliance Parts Pros. I received the parts in a GE Box from Louisville Ky with a yellow sticker on the box identifying the replacement kit. (WB27T10590) This is the 2nd time that I have had a problem with the harness. The first time the pins to one of the connectors had no retention feature. Please advise if I have the wrong part or I need to re-engineer the connector to the microwave, which I would not rather do.

I look forward to your favorable response.

Best regards,

Just call them up and explain your problem. If they give you trouble say you will post your problems here, but NO business wants adverse publicity.

Thanks for your response! My intention of the post is only to ascertain if in fact I am receiving the right replacement part, or is this one of these uniques that can not be repaired?

Thanks!

Cross check for correct part #

Here is a link to your oven model JTP95WW2WW.

Even if the same part # comes up there may be a problem with GE specifying the wrong part!! A good parts house will solve the problem by calling GE !!
