Default Replacing damaged glass on cooktop stove
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JBP68HOD1WW
Age: 1 - 4 years

We have a crack in our glass cooktop on our GE Spectra free standing electric range.
We ordered the replacement glass cooktop, which was still under warranty.
We can't afford service call and labor fee right now, so we would like to replace the glass top ourselves.
WE are looking for help/directions in properly removing old cooktop piece and replacing with the new one.
Thank you for any assistance!

Hi, how do you know if the glasstop has a scratch or crack? We have a whirlpool and the tech barely takes one look at it and say it's a scratch. Our warranty expires in two days. thanks!
