Replacing baking element
Brand:
Whirlpool
Age:
5 - 10 years
Baking element burned out and replacement will not heat up. New element has continuity and has 120 volts going through it. What is the resistance supposed to be? Any other suggestions?

Can you please supply your model number?
If this is a full sized range you should have 240 volts at the element.
Check the fuses in your home.
