Default Replacing bake element in elec. oven
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: fef339bgwc
Age: 5 - 10 years

My husband was baking a home made pizza and the grease from the pepperoni dripped through a hole in the foil on the bottom rack causing a small fire on the coil. Well, it traveled all along the coil and burnt it out.
I found this site and read how with a little help from my friend's here we could replace the element ourselves without paying someone to do it for us.
We bought a new element from our local appliance parts store and enstalled it. I had read that Sears wanted $65.00 to do the job, so all it cost us was $40.00 for the part. I am very glad I found this site and if need be will come here in the future for help. Thank you Partselect forum. B.
