Default Replacing bake element
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JKP07G0H1BG

Can I just plug in a new bake element to replace or does it have to be connected electrically?

You have to take the old one out by removing the screws holding it in at the back of the oven. Then disconnect the wires by removing screws holding the wires on the element. Install the new one in reverse order. TURN POWER OFF!!!

Woodchuck - I had the baking element for GE Oven (Auto Cleaning Oven) Model JKP07G0H1BG burn through this morning while attempting to help the wife with her baking. I take it from your earlier reply that the baking element is not that difficult to replace. Correct? Do you know where to find a good replacement either on the web or in the North Texas area?
