Default Replace bake element
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: PLEB30S8CCC
Age: 5 - 10 years

The bake element of my wall oven stopped working last week. Everything else works so I ordered a new element from PartSelect and received it yesterday. I have been reading up on bake element replacements. I have one question. After unscrewing the back plate the element doesn't want to pull out easily. I am unsure how long the wires are and don't want to break anything. Is this model designed to be pulled out or replaced from behind? I would appreciate any advice.

The wire should be long enough it is likely caught on the insulation. Just pull a little harder and wiggle it a bit and it should come out.

Make sure you turn the power of to the oven.

Here is a link to the breakdown of your oven model PLEB30S8CCC.

Thanks for the help. After I posted this and read all of theothers I figured there had to be a way. There is a right angle bend at the end of the element where the wires clip on, so I lifted the front of the element which reduced the profile and it slid out. Unfortunately the new element didn't do anything so I'm back to working on it. Thanks again. Pat Brown
