Default Recurring F7 error and beeping alert
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JKP27WOW2WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi and I'm writing for some help on a wall built-in GE double oven. A F7 error message and beeping alarm recurs after resetting the oven-unplugging the power for hrs. When the F7 error is on, no other control pad buttons work.

I've looked at the board to find reference to other Fx errors involving the control pad on other brands but nothing on this GE unit. One other refered to replacing the thermostat on this GE model. The model number is correct though I could not find the EXACT model on the GE website.
Tks kindly, G

There is a problem with either the control or the key pad.

To check to see which one is at fault.

Disconnect the power to the oven and disconnect the ribbon cable from the control.

Turn the power back on.

If the code comes back the problem is in the control.

If the code does not comes back the problem is with the key pad.

Here is a link to your oven model JKP27WOW2WW.

thankyou sheila. I did as instructed and it would appear to be the key pad. Can you advise how I can go about replacing the key pad along with the part number. I don't see it on the link you provided. I'm looking forward to the next step. Tks again!

The key pad is a part of the panel.

It is number one on the control panel breakdown.

You will need your serial number when you order it to get the right one because there are two listed.
