The lights on top of the range normally go off when the range top cools however they both stay on....even when the range has not been used for days. Is there a sensor or switch that needs to be replaced??

Are the lights that are on the hot indicator lights or the lights that tell you the burner is on.

How many of the light are on and on what side?

I believe they are the hot indicator lights. There is one light on each side---they bothstay on.
