Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: RB735GOJ1WH
Age: More than 10 years

The oven bake element is no longer functioning and I would like to replace it myself. Could someone instruct me in this matter?

Unplug your range or shut the breakers off.

To remove the bake element remove the two screws in the oven holding the element in place.

Pull the element out and there will be a wire on each prong of the element held on by a screw.

Remove the screws from the wires.

Reinstall in the reverse order.

You may have other problems, these elements blow out and draw a lot of current which may fuse contacts together: from your description this didn't happen. I usually check the element for continuity, then check for power to the element.
