The oven will not heat correctly... set it on 400 and we have a thermometer and when the oven beeps the temp is only 200 ,, increase setting to 550 and heats up to 300 etc..... will not not get above 300 any suggestions

Let me ask you this. When you turn the oven on to bake, does the bake element glow? Tap on it quickly with your hand and see if it gets hot. It could very well be just your bake element.
