Since Thanksgiving our oven won't stay lit. It's a gas stove, turns on but won't come up to temperature and just goes out...not sure what part isn't working?

I didn't notice how hot it got (didn't look at the temp to see where it was)...I set the temp to 375 and thought it was heating, then looked and the oven was not heating at all and I could smell gas. I turned it off ...then tried again a little later...same thing happened...I was hoping someone would know what part is broken and could tell me what to buy and how to fix it.
