Cool Oven wont light, igniter glows, but....
Brand: Amana
Model Number: ARG7600 WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

had it about 6 years, never a problem, then last week, the oven lit but never came up to temp and i smelled gas. shut it off, waited a few minutes, tried again and it wont light at all now. the igniter is glowing red hot, but its not lighting. i am thinking either the igniter isnt getting up to temp or the gas valve isnt letting in any gas?? i am welcoming any and all suggetions. meanwhile, i bought a new range so i will be using this one in the basement as a backup/extra so there will be a while before i can actually try out any ideas that come in, but thanks in advance for all help!!!

YOUR NOT GETTING GAS TO THE BURNER, try thermocouple or whatever opens the gas valve. I will try to research it with you chuck
