Default kitchen aid oven repair
Brand: KitchenAid
Age: 5 - 10 years

PLEASE HELP. I have kitchenaid stove with convection oven, just 5 years old. I was using top burner and then started smelling wires burning. cut power off. Smoke was coming from under the touch pad controls. This a slide in unit by kitchenaid suberba , model #KESC307HBS5. When I turn power back on The top burners work but nothing in oven works, no fan, no light, no heat. This is a shame i have hardly used this oven. I have not had a lot of luck with this batch of appliances that I purchased all at once. Dishwasher first, then replaced 2 microtrons in microwave. And all are kitchenaid. Any idea? thank you

You will have to open up the control panel and inspected the wires.

Is sound like one of the wires must have burnt off.

Here is a link to your range model KESC307HBS5.

no wires burned off, there is some smoke on several wires that go to mother board. wonder if mother board shorted out?

If there is damage to the wires there is likely damage to the board.

Sorry about the link.

Here is the link to your range model KESC307HBS5.
