Well I took the oven door apart to clean between the glass panes; after 40 years they got dirty. there was no gasket material between the glass and the metal piece that seperates the two glass panes. however it appears at one time there was a gasket on the inner window. Is there a special gasket material for this application? As the oven will go to 550 F I'm wondering if there isn't a silicone that is clear and will take 600 F.

There may be something you can get at a hardware store but I can't recall a gasket being used.

You may give manufacture a call and see if they know.
