Default magic chef oven

i HAVE A MAGIC CHEF STOVE, AND THE OVEN WON'T HEAT. IF I TURN THE
DIAL UP TO SIX HUNDRED, THE ELEMENT WILL HEAT UP. IF I TURN IT DOWN TO A LOWER TEMP. THE ELEMENT WILL GO OFF. IT WILL NOT HEAT UP ON A LOWER
TEMP.
THE MODEL NO, IS 68HK-6TKW

WHAT DO YOU THINK THE PROBLEM WOULD BE ? The sensor is o.k.

Last edited by BILL ROACH : 06-18-2007 at 05:30 PM. Reason: had sensor checked out and it is ok

It sound like a problem with your oven control.

Can you please verify your model number?

It is located on the frame of the range where the drawer closes.

It seems that your range is controlled by the clock assembly.

It may be a sensor that is causing your problem.

Here is a link to your model range 68hk-6txw.

There are no illustrations.
