Default Oven will not heat
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JGRS14GEV1BB
Age: More than 10 years

After I set the temp on the control panel the burners will not ignite. There is no heat at all and no gas comes out of the oven or broiler. The word "bake" blinks for quite a while then finally stays on. There is a "click" that I hear in the control panel when I hit the bake button.

Do you have 1 ignitor coil for the bake and broil or do you have 2 of them. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Only one ignitor for both the oven and broiler.

It sounds to me like you have a bad glow coil. I would persue that avenue. Those clicks in your control board sound like everything is OK with it. If you need me you can reach me at my website at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
