Question Oven Will Heat On Broil; But Won't Heat On Bake
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: SPECTRA XL44
Age: 1 - 4 years

I was baking cookies on 325 degrees and was waiting to bake some rolls. I changed the temperature to 350 degrees and the oven temperature was barely warn when I put the rolls in the oven. About an hour later, I tried to turn the oven on again and it heated. After that incident, the oven worked one evening and has not worked on bake for approximately 5 days now. The broiler works fine. What could be the problem. Thanks for any information.

You may have a bad selector switch or a blown bake element or just a burnt wire somewhere. Will need a meter to verify.

Default Temp. setting

we have a Whirlpool Stove Model # RF365PXG You can set the oven to preheat at 350, before it reaches the desires temp. it quits heating and in the process of heating, it clicks the whole time. You can move the temp to 475 and it will come back on, but before reaching 475 the oven will turn off again. There are no error codes that come up indicating a problem. Thank you for any help you can give........ : )

I have the same problem and was told that the computer chip needs replacing and you have to install the entire clock face, about $190 for the face. Good luck
