Default Oven while preheating sounds like it is trying to relight.
Model Number: jgbp26wea1ww
Age: 5 - 10 years

Sorry for the great title. What it sounds like is that the oven is trying to relight. Once the oven heats up it stops. But it continues until than.
First of all is it dangerous and secondly what can I do to try to repair.
thanks

You should have this checked by a qualified gas technician.

Here is a link to your range model jgbp26wea1ww.

Sounds to me as if the automatic valve (dual valve) is not staying open. It alllowes it to light and then shuts off continuosly. Kind of in the same boat with a Magic Chief. Just don't depend on the oven maintaining a good baking temperature until the valve is replaced.
