Oven went from bake to broil & won't shut off unless we use breaker

When baking today, my oven went from bake to broil on its own, we could not shut it off with the touch pad. My husband had to turn the circuit breaker off. Has anyone else experienced this problem, is it the touch pad?

I am having the same problem with a 3.5 year old Whirlpool. Does anyone know how to fix this?

It is the touch panel on the stove. Needs to be replaced.

I have the same issue on a 10yr old GE that started on the 24th of Dec. Spoke with an appliance repair tech, it is a control module behind the main panel; specific part number not given, stated this is a common probelm.
