Mine's fixed as well.
I took out the old thermostat. The temperature sensing bulb of the thermostat was working fine, but it was the actual switch that bulb presses when it expands that was not working. The switch made no click from out to in, so failed internally.
Anyways, the whole stove cost me about 400 dollars, and the frigging new thermostat was 130 dollars. (General Electric) What an obscene mark up on parts cost. I imagine if you rebuild a stove one part at a time it would cost in and around 3 billion dollars. |
