Default Oven temp way too hot
Brand: KitchenAid
Age: 5 - 10 years

Worked fine until last night, when the Oven cleaning lock would oscillate with oven set to 350F.
Today reset it with power off for 10 minutes, now it sometimes give F-1
set to 450 temp goes well over 500 and the fan in back bottom goes red, burns everything in the back of the oven within 10 minutes.

Hi,
I replaced the oven sensor a couple of weeks ago. The temperature was correct when I installed it but tonight, it went F1, locked the door just like before.
I turned if off for 5 minutes, then its overheating again, and the back where the fan is red hot again.
Whats next ?

thanks barry

I took out the ERC, and there was some black stuff under the small board.
I cleaned it off with Electrical cleaner, now when ever I select an oven function it goes F-5.
Do I just replace the ERC, or just the small board if that is possible to buy just the small board ?
