Default Oven Temp Does Not Reach Desired Setting
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JGSP31GER2WG
Age: More than 10 years

We have a GE Profile Mod.: JGSP31GER2WG S/N: ZG224466Q When the oven is set at any temperature the digital readout shows the oven temperature slowly climbing to the set temperature but the oven internal temperature maybe reaches 250 when the readout shows 525. I have changed both thermocouples the oven has with no change in temperature results. Incidently, the cituation has deteriorated to the point the oven will only get warm. My wife did tell me that when the oven was put on "self cleaning" it did get very hot, but since the door locks she could not tell how hot it got. The only thing I see left to change is the circuit board. Any help would be great! Blessings, IB

The circuit board is what is likely causing your problem.

Here is a link to your range model JGSP31GER2WG.

Thank you for your reply....I was told that may be the problem. Can I get a replacemnt board that is used? And if yes, where?
