Default Oven Power Cycles Off
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: RD276PDB12
Age: 5 - 10 years

Our double oven is about five years old and it recently started turning off on its own! It makes a beep and then the display simply goes black. Normally, this occurs when I have one of the ovens turned on but it also occasionally occurs when the oven is not in use.

The power is restored pretty quickly (within a couple minutes) in most cases but I've observed that it appears takes longer if I have the temperature set at a high level (over 400). And, sometimes, it goes off several times in one evening.

We've checked the circuit breaker and it has not tripped. I think the oven may be the only appliance on that circuit.

This is something that would have to be check out when it is happening.

It is a defiant electrical problem.
