Default Oven popped and won't bake or broil
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: CPES389CC1
Age: 1 - 4 years

My oven popped while warming up and tripped the fuse. Now it won't bake or broil at all. The elements work and the control panel displays no errors and works just fine.

Could this be an issue with the Electronic Control Board? If yes, would you reccommend replacing with a new one or having it repaired (repair comes with a one year warranty).

Lastly, I have a flat panel stove with the display on the front. Where do I un-screw to access the Electronic Control Board? I can't find any schematics anywhere.

Thanks for your help!

Default

check the oven sensor with an ohmeter. you should get a reading of around 1180 ohms at room temperature. If it checks ok, then you most likely will need a board. You will have to check the schematic and see how the oven is wired. The schematic is located on the back of the unit in a clear plastic bag.
