I'm trying to trouble shoot this problem for my Father in law from another state. Sorry, I do not have the model number. He has a Frigidaire stove about 10 years old. The oven seems to over heat. He says that it does not go off wants it hits the set temperature. He has put it on 250 degrees and the element stays glowing red until he turns it back off.

If it is a oven with a conventional thermostat there is a problem with the sensing bulb which means he will need a new oven control or thermostat.

If his oven is electronic it is either the sensor or the timer control unit.
