Default Oven not working
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JGBS10BEH3BB
Age: 1 - 4 years

Question. My gas oven will not light. The Burners on top work fine, but when I turn the oven on I do not smell or hear gas and the ignitor does not glow red. I've been told that it is the glow bar ignitor. (part # WB13K0021). Have others encountered this problem? Just making sure it's not the regulator or any other possible problem.

Default

It is most likely that igniter.

If the igniter gets weak it will not open the valve to allow gas to flow.

If you give the igniter a tap the burner will likely light.

You can check it with and ohm meter.

The resistance should be between 50 and 500 ohms depending on the temperature of it.

Here is a link to your range model jgbs10beh3bb.

Here is your igniter part number PS231280.(WB13K0021)
