Question Oven not regulating
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: fes367dba
Age: 1 - 4 years

Oven temp does not regulate. Stops preheat about 25 degrees low and then will go high and low.

How are you checking the oven temperature?

The oven should cycle at least three times before you will get a good reading.

Thanks for the reply.
Am checking with meat thermometer, probe placed on left side in the center with sensor end hanging free, cable closed in door. Have since noticed if I let it cycle a few times it seems to settle down to cycle about 25 degrees above and the same below requested temp. Is this normal?

That sounds about right.

I don't know how accurate the meat thermometer but 25 degrees is not bad.

The temperature is usually taken with the thermal coupe in the center of the oven.

Maybe if I replace the oven door gasket it might do better. The lower part is hardened with baked in food stuff.
