Default Oven not heating up
Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: rgb745gev3ad
Age: Please select

I have a Hot Point range, about two months ago it started to stay on and get very hot even after we turned it off. I worked around this problem by unpluging it when we were done using it. Last night it wouldn't heat up after it had been pluged in, turned on and the clock had been set. However the pilot light comes on, but it doesn't fire the main burner.

Sadly it is still not working correctly. Any insight you might be able to provide would be welcome.

Well it doesn't come on know because the ignitor might be coming on, but not send enough amps to open the valve. Replace the ignitor coil. But then again if you are having thermostat issues, you might consider replacing the oven. I could be reached at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
