Default Oven not heating past 250 degress
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: RB1262PXAB1
Age: 5 - 10 years

The oven heats up to 250 degrees and will not exceed that temperature. It heats very slow to that temperature. Do I need to replace the baking element?

It could be the bake element but it may be a wire burnt off.

Can you please verify your model number?

It should be on a tag on the frame of the stove where the drawer closes with the serial number.

My model number is RB262PXAB1. I purchased a new bake element and upon installation discovered a thermal fuse/limit switch that connects to the element was broken. I have ordered a replacement and am waiting on that.
