Lightbulb Oven not heating over 240
Brand: Amana
Model Number: AER5515QAW
Age: 1 - 4 years

I need of advice/help. I have this Amana Oven. It worked just fine the other day and now when I try and set the oven to lets say, 350. The oven will only go to 240 degrees, everytime. It also seems to take much longer to get to 240, seems like 10-15mins. When I open the oven door it feels like 240, not very hot, just warm. . Its onlt about 2-3 years old. I think it could be the Bake element! I'm no expert on these things. what do you think? Thanks Eric

It could be a failed bake element.

You will need an ohm meter to test it.

You should get a reading of 16 ohms on a good element.

Make sure that you remove the wires from the element so you get a true reading.

Here is a link to your range model AER5515QAW.
