I live in an apartment, and the oven is a Hotpoint, about 5-10yrs old I think. I wanted to clean it today and thought it was as easy as turning the knob to " Auto Self Clean". But the Oven won't clean itself because It Won't Lock!! HELP!!! Where is the lock button? There is no latch on the door--- no button on the sides, or the top. The light just keeps blinking at me!!!


p.s. there is no manual available to guide me.....that's why I'm here

I found the answer on the GE appliance web site.... Thank you every one.. The latch to lock the oven is under the cook top..AACCKKK who would have thunk it?
