Default Oven lock
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: per5510baw
Age: 5 - 10 years

The oven is not giving a code number, but shows lock. Does this mean the oven lock is faulty?

It could be one of the switches in the door lock mechanism.

Here is a link to your range model per5510baw.

Will the range still work?

The control is sensing that the door is in the locked position.

It is likely a stuck switch.
