My oven light will not turn off. Before we had to fiddle with the door to the oven to turn the light off. now that won't work. Is it safe to leave the light on? We evn turned off the power breaker, unplugged the stove and it still won't turn off. How do I fix this.

Yes it is safe to leave it on but would save energy by removing it or loosening it so it does not make contact in the socket.

The door switch is probably shot
Item 12 in the BODY section. Listed as F12 at the bottom of the parts for this section.

The switch is the pushin type
Once pushed in two prongs catch on the back of the panel to hold it in

They can be a pain to remove
Sometimes you get lucky and are able to remove them from the front but usually you have to remove the panels to get it out.

Perhaps someone else has a trick for removing this type of switch.

Make sure to unplug the unit
