Elements in my wall oven gets red hot even when the thermostat control is in the OFF position and when I switch to bake, broil, preheat or self clean. I have replaced the thermostat but no effect.

It sound like you have a selector switch as well as your oven thermostat.

There could be a problem with this control.

Please verify your model number as I can't locate on our database.

Yes, there's a selector switch for bake, broil, preheat and selfclean and oven thermostat. I had a new thermostat and replaced the thermostat but still the elements get bright red hot when the thermostat control is in the off position and when I switch to bake, broil, preheat or selfclean. Is there a way to test the thermostat?

If you have replaced the thermostat and are having the same problem I would look for other problems.

It is unlikely that two thermostats would have the same problem.

You should check your wiring diagram.

The Chambers brand is an unfamiliar brand and does not show in our database.
