Default Oven door won't go back on
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: GR563LXSQ0
Age: 1 - 4 years

I'm having trouble putting the door back on my oven after replacing the top element.

The door removed easily by moving the reatining clips forward and lifting up and out on the door.

Unfortunatly it does not want to go back on the same way it came off.

Help Please!

Benson

Benson, on the door next to the hinge there should be a little lever, and when you slide that over in lock the hinge in a open position. Pull down on the hinge, it is hard, and then move over that little tab, and do it on both side, and hold your mouth right, and slide it into the oven. It is a fight. If you need me you can reach me at my website at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

Tom,

Thanks for your help on this. I had trouble getting the lever to seat back in the oven frame but a slight tap tool care of the issue..

Good job, sometimes a little tap or a kick does it. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
