Oven Door Won't Close

We have a Tappan oven that is pratically brand new, we may have had it for one year or less. We turned it on today and it made a loud "pop" noise now the oven door will not close completely. Any ideas??? Is this a common problem for this brand?

If the oven is less than a year old it is still under warranty.

It sounds like the door may have sprung or a hinge spring let go.

How far is the door staying open?

If it is still under warranty you should book a service call.
