Default Oven Door Removal
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: JGR8875QDW
Age: 1 - 4 years

I removed the two screws in the oven door attaching the hinge. However, the door will not slide up/ off. I am afraid to put too much pulling pressure/ force in fear of breaking it. I have tilted it to various angles but still it will not slide up/ off.

What am I doing wrong?

You do not have to remove the screws.

The hinge stays with the door.

Open the oven door and place the door hinge locking device in the lock position.

Place the oven door in the first stop position, then grasp both sides of the door and lift the door off the hinge receivers.

Here is a link to your range model JGR8875QDW.

Default Thank you

Thank you Shelia.

For those like me who are sometimes blue print challenged, the locking devices are the little "ears" on the hinge. For whatever reason, the one on the right side needed a small amount of coaxing/ help from a pair of needle nose pliers. The left one snapped down with my finger.
