 Oven door outer glass replacement Brand: General Electric Model Number: jbp64wb4ww Age: 5 - 10 years
The outer glass on my range door shattered and I want to replace the glass. I have already ordered the replacement part (PS252148), but I am looking for tips on how to install the glass. There is one large metal grove at the bottom for the glass to fit into and 3 plastic grooves at the top right under the door handle. Is it best to remove the top portion of the door and slide the glass into the bottom grove first? Should any type of lubricant be applied to the bottom? There is a little rust in the metal bottom grove. Thank you for any advice. |
