Default Oven door - inner glass window broken
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: C8806457190
Age: 5 - 10 years

For some unknown reason, the inner glass cracked on my oven door. Sears will sell me a Window Kit for $210.00, plus I'd have to pay labour charges to get the door fixed. Is it possible to just buy a new door and put it on myself?
I also called an appliance repair person, and he said he fixes these windows all the time - removes the cracked one, and then just takes one of the other panes of glass and puts that in. It just doesn't seem safe or right to me.
Any advice out there?

The inner window can be replace and the price of the window is only 36.99.

The part number for the inner window is 22 c880 9750634.

Sears must have gave you the price on the outer glass panel on the front of your range.

You can't buy a whole door assembly.

It is safe to replace the glass.

The door has to come a part to replace the cracked one.
