Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: sve47600b
Age: 5 - 10 years

My oven does not come on , and I received an F-5 error message, all the push button controls work fine , and all displays , and clock work as well . The fan comes on put on broil , but the broiler element does not get hot . When put on bake and set to 350 degrese the display says the preheat is on and goes to 100 degrese , but the baking element does not get hot . Can anyone help me.

The diagnostic section may be useful

I assume from your post that neither bake or broil elements work
Also I noticed a thermal cuout in line with these elements (see schematic in manual). Looks like #23 Switch High Limit in the Body section of the parts.
Perhaps this is open
Should be closed (0 ohms)

If you put the unit in a clean cycle, and then after you cleaned, and tried to use it again, then it would be the limit switch, which is located in the rear, But that would be doubtfull, because a code does not come up when the limit swich is bad. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
