My control panel lights went dim and then went out a week later. I believe it is the clock/timer. I want to repair it myself but need a little assistance in getting started. Anyone help?

It does sound like your clock timer.

To remove the control panel you will have to remove the three screws along the top and three screws along the bottom.

Grasp the control panel by placing your hands on the right and left sides of the panel then pull out and down to disengage.
