Question Oven and broiler not responding
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JBP76GS1
Age: More than 10 years

I just replaced the control clock assembly with part number WB27X10311 from partselect.com and installed it according to the instructions that were enclosed with the part. When I go to use the oven or the broiler, the element starts to slowly heat up to the touch and then the clock flashes F4 and sounds a loud beep like something is not installed right and then the oven shuts down. The clock works and the timer works but the oven or broiler will not heat up. What could be the problem?

The F4 is a failure in the oven sensor circuit.

Check the oven sensor it should have 1100 ohms resistance at room temperature.

Also check the sensor harness.

Here is a link to your range model JBP76GS1.
