Default Oven and Broiler failure
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: SVE47100
Age: 5 - 10 years

The bake element in our oven failed (it flashed as a welder and split). After replacement (the stove still works) the oven will not work. There is voltage on both coils when the bake or broil functions are selected but the bake two relays behind the clock module keep switching on and off (bake temperature hangs at 100F).
I wonder if anything else (temp sensor?) got damaged during the bake element failure.

Here is your parts breakdown
SVE47100 Parts List

And here is a service manual
Maytag Service Library

It is possible that the temp sensor is gone
Unfortunately it is more likely that the control board is the problem

Best way to check sensor is with a volt/ohm meter. If you do not have one I would recommend buying a digital multimeter. You can get a decent one for under $20.00, you do not need fancy but it is nice if the leads are a couple feet long.
If it saves buying one unnecessary part it has paid for itself. Will definitely come in handy in the future for any electrical problem.

Thanks for the advice, do I check for continuity or do I look for a specific resistance over the temp sensor?

A specific resistance, should give the spec in the manual
I think it's around 1100 ohms at room temp approx.

That was pretty close, resistance came out at 1072 ohm and increased to 1100 when my son held his hand around it.
I guess I should get the control board checked somewhere, or is there anything else I could look at?

I appreciate all your help!!
