Default Oven/Broiler elements not heating
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: GLCS389ESA
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hi, All of a sudden my elements won't heat up. The stovetop works fine, the preheat/heat button engages fine and all appears like it should be working, but no heat or very very low heat. Tried clean and broil. All the same. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

RG

It could be that the clock is faulty or it has lost connection.

Check the wiring in the control panel.

Here is a link to your range model GLCS389ESA.

Hi Sheila. Thanks for your response. I know nothing about this. Why would the clock have something to do with the oven burners? The clock does seem to be functioning fine.

Thanks,

RG

It is not the actual clock it is the control.

The clock and control are all one piece.

Could you possibly link me to which part I should be looking at?

Also Sheila, my wife was having problems with the "controls". Could she have pressed any combination of controls or anything to make this happen? Is there any sort of system reset for the buttons?

Thanks

The control is number 20 on the back guard breakdown.

Check in your owners manual and see if the is a child safety lock out.

For RG959!! Pull both bake and broil elements and check for a burnt wire. If ok check back of control panel for burnt wires.
