Cool Oven began shutting off now it is beeping
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: WM2780B
Age: More than 10 years

I have a combo Jenn-air microwave and convection oven, model # WM2780B. The microwave is operating fine except that the fan never shuts off, however, the stove is inoperable. It initially began heating up and shutting off and now it does not heat at all. When you touch any button (i.e. bake, time, etc.) it only beeps and continuously until you touch the cancel button. I read another forum that posted the same concern about the beeping issue and they stopped the beeping by replacing the control panel. I am now wondering if changing the control panel will also fix the heating issue or if I need to do something more to correct the heating issue?

The first thing to do is check and see if you are getting 240 volt to the oven.

Are there any codes being displayed?

You may have a faulty relay.

Does the oven work in the broil function?

Here is a link to your oven model WM2780B.

Unhappy More issues w/ Jenn Air Combo Unit

I had a service repairman replace the control panel in November 2007 to address heating and no display issues. Now after four months, my oven started beeping continuously and displaying a F0 code. We tried hitting the cancel button but the beeping only stopped for a literally a minute. So we disconnected the power to the control panel. What could be the problem now? Please help.

The F 0 stands for a stuck key on the touch pad.

Check and see if the connector from the keypad to the control is tight.

Thumbs down Jenn Air Combo still not working

Everything seems to be secure but it is now flashing, what looks like seven backword "L"s and 074 000. This happen after we reset the powerswitch for the stove; which also caused the beeping to stop.

Try pressing the cancel or clear button.

I press the cancel button and then it starts beeping and displaying the F 0 code, all over again but now the code is only displayed where the timer digits are typically displayed. Before the code was displayed where the clock digits are displayed and the three 000's were flashing where the timer digits are displayed.

If the problem is caused by the same part the the technician replace in November the part should be under warranty.

It may be wise to have them back out to have a look.
