Angry Oven bake element replacement
Brand: Amana
Model Number: AER5735QAQ
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a blown bake element in an Amana range. One of those hidden ones. Model #AER5735QAQ. I just need to know if there is a trick to changing one, and what the procedure is. The repairman wants $147.00 to do it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Unplug the range.

Remove the screws securing the oven bottom cover.

Raise the back of the element cover and slide the cover back to release the front edge of the cover and lit it out of the oven cavity.

Remove the screws securing the bake element to the rear of the oven wall.

Pull the element forward to allow disconnection of the terminals on each element leg.

Here is a link to your oven model AER5735QAQ.

Default Amana hidden heating element replacement

I have a similar issue on an Amana AER5725QAW, now where are you getting to the element "cover" inside the over, under niether the over or from the back. The digaram you refer to is just a simple exploded view with not much direction on where you are accessing the cover and/or the screws.

Thanks

Dave

You access the burner from the in side of the oven.

Here is a link to your range model AER5725QAW.

I thank you for the info, but I changed the element before Turkey Day, and have not posted since.
