I need to replace a switch for the burner on my GE electric range. I had a repairman do it last time and saw that he had somehow lifted the top to get to the switch. How can I get the top to lift? Thanks for your help!

Not finding anything on that model #, you gave. You might want to check it and see if it is correct. If this is a cooktop, it would have to be pulled out, and flipped upside down, and put the switch in from the bottom side. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
