Default Old Whirlpool Gas Range - Help
Brand: Whirlpool
Age: More than 10 years

I just purchased a two-family home and inherited this gas range that I can't figure out how to operate. The 4 top burners work fine however the oven will not light. I asked the old tenant and she insisted that turning on the oven had something to do with the clocks on the top. The oven has 3 knobs on top - one that looks like a standard clock (non-digital) with a timer, the other two are start and stop time clocks. There are two knobs on the range that regulate the oven, one is to control temperature, the other is to select bake, broil, etc. By turning both on to broil, the ignitor lights but the pilot won't. I played with the clocks to see if anything turned the pilot on, but it doesn't. The old tenant conveyed to me that it is very confusing and she couldn't figure it out herself -- unfortunately she still can't figure it out. Anyone know anything about these?

Hi,

Would you happen to have a model number?

ONE OF THE TWO KNOBS WOULD HAVE A "TIMED bAKE" WHERE YOU WOULD HAVE TO DO THE TIME THANG. I AM CONFUSED ABOUT THE IGNITOR LIGHTS BUT THE PILOT DOES NOT. THE IGNITOR AND PILOT ARE THE SAME.
