Angry Not Happy and Here's my Testimonial
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MERC6605
Age: 1 - 4 years

I ordered a leveling leg, I was told 3-5 days for delivery. After 2 weeks of waiting, I called. I was told the part had been back-ordered despite the part inquiry reading quantity in stock 1. I was then told it would be 10-14 days for the part. I asked if the shipping could be waived, due to inconvenience, I was told NO, they have to charge a shipping fee. I asked then perhaps we waive the $5.89 for the part again, NO.
I wouldn't mind so much, but, they told me when I ordered they had one in stock, by the time my order went through it was gone, come on. Someone dropped the ball and did not keep an accurate account of inventory.
As I waited on hold more than once, I got to read the wonderful testimonials on the page, I inquired about how to post one myself. The two people I spoke to didn't know how they were added, I searched a while and realized this may be the only way to get my frustration out.
I was not pleased with the service of parts select.
I was not pleased by the treatment and it was anything but convenient!

I do not work for or have any affiliation with this site but do take exception to your complaint
It would have been nice if they would have sent you an email when the part was back ordered but c'est la vie.
To assume they lied to you is ridiculous and unwarranted
Then your response is to try and get something for nothing
You should be ashamed of yourself
If I ran this company I would charge you an $50.00 surcharge, after all they had to special order a part just for you!!!

There now I feel better

I hear what your saying and I may have over reacted, but it was no way to business, a mistake was made, own up to it and rectify it. Yes, an email should have been sent to warn me of the back order. What upset me the most were the testimonials of wonderful service and know way to enter mine. Sorry if my issue upset you but, I am not ashamed, I am satisfied with the email I just received from another company that says my part was shipped today!

Well I still think you did not have a leg to stand on

But it sounds like that situation will be rectified shortly

Have a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year

Denman, nice of you to stick up for the Parts Select folks, but there is that little matter of the parts not being available, especially if the customer has been led to believe that they are. I had a similar experience with another internet company that assured me that one of the parts that I needed was in stock. (I did take the time to call and verify the availability before ordering) I was a bit miffed when nothing arrived after 3 weeks and there was no apology for not shipping the part that was now "out of stock". I have since cancelled my order.
I don't believe that Disgruntled overreacted; I believe he or she simply reacted, as anyone would react to what appeared to be blatant misinformation.
There's my two cents worth, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Smile Satisfied at last

Latest and last detail, I canceled my order w/ Partsselect. I ordered that day thru another company and received the leg in three days, my stove is now sitting nice and level. I was very pleased with this company: Part Advantage, give them a try
