Default No parts available
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: RBD245PDQ12
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a dead oven that throws error codes indicating a disconnected ribbon from the control panel to the microcomputer. The ribbon is well connected, but has a crease in it and I suspect that a break in the continuity of one or more of those little bitty conductors. I have been trying in vain to replace the control panel for 3 weeks now. NOBODY has it in stock and Whirlpool won't commit to when exactly it will ever be off backorder. It is white in color. I have also been told that Whirlpool has discontinued the microcomputer. (I was prepared to replace that as well, if necessary) Is this common for an appliance manufacturer to leave owners twisting in the wind after just a few years? I will probably never ever purchase another Whirlpool product (or any of their other labels either).
I'd really appreciate some help in locating the part I need

Yes, the leave customers out in the cold all the time. Do a search for Board repairs. That is your only option. Is to send it in for repairs. Let me give you a few phone #s to call, if you have the part #s. If you have a model # they can look it up for you. 1-479-756-9540. That is mid South parts in Arkansas. 1-417-887-7278. That is Greer Parts. These are two big part distributers. Good Luck Tom.
